A four year old child has died on a farm near Maguiresbridge in County Fermanagh.

Police were called to the scene around 8.30pm last night.

Inspector Glen Latimer said: “The child was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“Local PSNI will work closely with the Health and Safety Executive as they investigate the circumstances.”

DUP Leader, MLA Arlene Foster expressed her sympathy to the family.

She said: “This is devastating news and I wish to express my sympathy to the family.

Circumstances are unclear as to exactly what happened but PSNI and the HSE remain at the scene to carry out an investigation.
