Madison named first ever NI Children’s Hospice Youth Ambassador

A Carrickfergus girl has become the first ever Youth Ambassador for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice!

Madison Wright takes up the prestigious role with the charity – which provides specialist respite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to infants, children and young people – as Children’s Hospice Week gets underway.

Deputy Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Cllr Andrew Wilson, congratulated Madison on the accolade.

“On behalf of Council and the entire community of Mid and East Antrim, I would like to offer my congratulations to Madison on this very prestigious opportunity.

“The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice means so much to the community within our borough, and we know from the various fundraising events just how much it means to Madison.

“It is particularly fitting that Madison takes on this new role during Children’s Hospice Week 2020, and this is the ideal time for everyone to learn more about the wonderful and inspiring work which takes places at Horizon House and within the community.

“I would like to wish Madison every success in her new role and look forward to supporting her fundraising and awareness raising work in the future. Well done Madison!”
